Mary Balfour Van Zandt, Rector
Mary Balfour Van Zandt is the Rector of The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Mary Balfour attended the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. She has served as the Rector of St. Michael’s in Fayette, Alabama, Associate Rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Southern Pines, North Carolina and as the Rector of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Greenwood, South Carolina. Mary Balfour loves any and all things that helps builds the Kingdom of God, zinnia flowers, peach tea and a good rock on the porch at her family’s summer home in Monteagle, TN.
Robert St. Germain-Iler, Associate Priest
The Rev. Robert St. Germain-Iler, or Father Rob as he is known, has come full circle back to Epiphany as our part-time priest associate. Rob and his wife of 35 years, Betsy, were members of Epiphany Guntersville before leaving for the School of Theology at Sewanee in 2003, where Rob earned his Masters of Divinity. After leading a church in Huntsville, Rob took the position of Rector at St. James Episcopal Church in Alexander City, Alabama, where he and Besty ministered for more than 14 years. They have three adult children who grew up at Epiphany; Robert, Briana (Moeller) and Jacob.
Rob and Betsy have recently retired and are building a house in the New Hope area. Rob enjoys woodworking, golf, playing harmonica and spending time with friends and family.
Traci Lamb, Parish Administrator
Traci Lamb is the Parish Administrator of The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Traci has been in the field of office administration since 1986 and a church administrator since 2007. Originally from New Jersey, then to Florida, she moved to Guntersville in 2017. She is married to Mark Lamb and has two adorable fur babies, Grace & Penny. Traci is an avid quilter and loves to do anything crafty! She also enjoys her garden, the color pink, and sitting on the back porch enjoying God’s creation.
Tiffany Martin, Children & Youth Minister
Tiffany Martin is a 1993 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Behavior Disorders, Special Education. In 2005, she earned a Master’s degree in Special Education with a Reading Specialist concentration from North Georgia College & State University. Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to special education, teaching and supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in both Georgia and Alabama. Her passion for helping students succeed was reflected in her commitment to individualized instruction, encouragement, and advocacy.
Today, Tiffany serves as the Children & Youth Minister at Epiphany, where she is passionate about nurturing the faith of children, youth, and their families. She is committed to creating welcoming and engaging opportunities for children and youth to grow in their relationship with God, develop meaningful connections within the church community, and live out their faith in everyday life.
Tiffany is the proud mother of Grace, Caitlin, and Wyatt, who are her greatest joy and inspiration. Her life reflects a deep commitment to faith, family, education, and service, and she continues to make a positive impact through her ministry and community involvement.
Joey Evans, Organist
My name is Joey Evans and I play the organ during the Epiphany church services. I am a lifelong musician, a graduate of Shorter College in Rome, GA with a degree in music education. I have served the Lord in Monte Sano and Latham Methodist churches in Alabama as either choir director or church pianist.
I have been playing the organ at Epiphany since 2020 when our previous organist, Kay Benefield, moved to Texas to be closer to family during the pandemic.
It has been a wonderful life and I highly recommend it!
Pynne Floresca, Choir Director
Pynne Floresca is the Choir Director of the Episcopal Church on the Epiphany. Pynne grew up in the Episcopal church. Her father, both grandfathers and an uncle were Episcopal priests. Before becoming a priest, her father was a concert pianist. Pynne has played the flute and sang in church choirs since the 5th grade. Music is an integral part of her life and worship.
She is married to Michael, and they have two adult children. Melanie, a teacher, who lives in Virginia, is married and has two adorable sons. Kevin and his fiancé, Kylee, just moved to the Huntsville area, and are getting married in November
Pynne is also a registered nurse, lactation consultant and sommelier. Her hobbies include going to the gym and taking care of alpacas and sheep at a neighboring farm.
